Both riders will be on board 2020 CRF250Rs and Mitchell Oldenburg is excited to compete with the team in his home country, after a successful debut with them in Australia this year.
“They are a great team and have had great success in Australia since 2003 so it’s awesome they are heading over to the States to take on West Coast and that I get to be part of it. Consistency is integral and I feel we have great bikes, a great team of people and some excellent partners. The biggest thing for me is the bike; I feel we can do well on it,” Oldenburg said.
Oldenburg spent most of his amateur career riding on Honda so he has enjoyed being back on the brand of which he has nostalgic ties.
“My dad had me on Honda’s most of my amateur career and I had a lot of success. I know they build great bikes and the 2020 250 is awesome. I got great starts in Australia and I hope to continue that heading into West Coast.” Oldenburg concluded.
Luke Clout, the teams’ new recruit for the 2020 season, is grateful to have this inclusion in his contract to compete with the team abroad.
“This is a huge opportunity for me and I am ready to give it my all. I am riding well, the bike is great and the team is focused. I mean the success the team has had in Australia is evident in the results they have achieved so it will be no different in America, I can’t wait.” Clout added.
Clout had a very strong year, winning his first 450 Motocross and Supercross race and taking 2nd overall in the MX1 and SX1 respectively. He hopes to continue to learn and move forward.
“It’s been a big year, I am happy with my results but I know I have a lot to still learn. I will be working hard in America to better my riding and want to learn from the best in the world. I am so thankful for this opportunity.” Clout concluded.
The team is finalising all of its partners and will make a full announcement within the next two weeks.
