The Maroondah Cycle Training Club (MCTC) is a family-oriented riding facility in Kilsyth, Vic – it’s not a racetrack, but a riding area where all the family are encouraged to turn up and have fun together, on and off the track.

The track accommodates all ages and levels of experience and is one of only a few riding facilities in metro Melbourne. The MCTC caters for the fun bike market and is all about families riding together.

There are two tracks, a little one that is excellent for a rider’s first steps from trainer wheels, to gain confidence on or to get used to a clutch for the first time – basically to build the skill and confidence to move onto the big track.

The big track is a more challenging loop, with fast, bermed corners, off-camber corners, jumps and tabletops. All the obstacles can be ridden at any pace, making it great for little kids and big kids alike to advance their skills.

The MCTC runs club training days for various skill levels and has recently started offering motorcycle maintenance tips days.

The club is run by volunteers – some very committed members ensure the track is always at its best and that there are special events.

The club holds regular working bees and during summer these are held on Friday nights with everyone encouraged to stay for the BBQ and a social drink afterwards, while the kids race BMXers on the track.
