The US Assure Florida National presented challenging conditions, as a difficult sand track and hot, humid temperatures combined to push riders to the limit.
On Instagram Lawrence admited the race was physically demanding but is happy with salvaging fifth overall from an eighth-place result in Moto 1 and fourth in Moto 2.
“Super tough Saturday for me, it was my first hot race in a very long time! The track was very physically demanding but we salvaged 8-4 for fifth overall, fit and healthy to come back swinging next weekend. Thanks to the team for their help and my mate @snyder_50 for sweating like a gypsy with a mortgage out there in the heat with me.”
The 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will reach its halfway point next Saturday, June 29, with the MB Tractor & Equipment Southwick National from New England’s legendary The Wick 338.
